Well, I’m studying sociology in “Universidad de
Chile”, in the year I’m joining to study the University change the programme of
the career, but I think that some details are missing like have less subjects
of theory and more practice, another change I will do it is change the methodology
of some subjects because they are boring or uncoordinated. But I know that our generation is the
generation of proof and they are fixed the subjects according our critics.
Respect to the infrastructure of the university
I think is good because we had the “aularios” (buildings with plenty/mainly of
classroom). But the real faculty is so small for all the students, and if the “aularios”
don’t exist we would be crowded, but we had two libraries and a small canteen
but it have a lot of microwaves. Nonetheless I think is fine. We have anything
we need.
Another change I will do to the programme are
about the time to dedicated to study, because all the subjects demand a lot of
time and we can’t read and do right everything, because is a lot if considering
the time we spend in the class, we don’t have time for do another things like
do hobbies or get out with friends, because we are all day in the faculty and
in the “free” time we are doing homework or reading or study for a test. In conclusion
the academy workload is a lot. And is a thing to change because affects the mental
health of the students.
